Certificate in 2D or 3D Studio Art: Application Process

1. Complete the application form

Access the online portal and fill out the “Certificates” application form.

2. Submit the $20 Application Fee

A non‑refundable $20 fee is required at submission.
Pay securely through the application portal.

3. Provide Official Transcripts

We require official transcripts showing completion of a bachelor’s degree (BA or higher).
Transcripts must come directly from your institution
- Either via secure electronic services (e.g., Parchment) to transcripts@theartofeducation.edu.
- Or, mailed in a sealed envelope to:

If your degree was completed outside the U.S., please include a course‑by‑course evaluation from a NACES or AICE agency. See the graduate catalog for details.

4. Share Your “Why”

Written Submission: A 1‑page essay
Or Video: Up to 3 minutes

Describe why you’re pursuing a studio art certificate.
Focus on what fuels your creativity, what you aim to explore, and how this training will support your growth as an artist or educator.
Bring your authentic voice, professional goals, and clear vision to the forefront.

Be Personal & Professional: Use clear, polished language and share real-world examples.
Stay Focused: Whether you write or speak, structure your ideas so they're easy to follow.
Proofread & Polish: If writing, use standard formatting, spell‑check, and consider peer review. If submitting video, ensure good lighting, clear audio, and a confident delivery.

You can submit components on your own through the application portal or send them to your admissions counselor to upload for you.
