When does my course start?

Courses begin on the first Monday of the month.


When can I access my course?

New students
You will be able to access Brightspace, our LMS, 5 days before your first course begins. At that time, you will see a gray course tile on your home page. Do not be concerned if you are unable to access Brightpace prior to this 5-day mark. This is expected!

Returning students
You will not see future courses until 5 days before the course start date. At that time, you will see a gray course tile on your home page.


All Students
2 days before the course start date, your tile will become colorful and you can access all course content.



How will I receive important information?

AOEU will send university correspondence to your student email. We recommend you set up email forwarding to your personal inbox to ensure you receive important messages from the university. Here is how to set this up


What can I expect during my course?

Courses begin on the first Monday of the month. Weekly cadences are as follows:

  • Wednesday - Discussion board due
  • Friday - Peer responses due
  • Sunday - Assignment due

Where can I find support resources for my course?

Everything you need to succeed is located in your course and in the Student Center! To access the Student Center, log in to My Courses. Find resources that support research, writing, and navigating the LMS. 


How do I activate my student email address?

I am getting a 403 Error when I click on the Student Portal. 

When you click on Student Portal, your browser checks to make sure you have permission to access your personal information! If your student email is not logged into your browser, you will see this 403 Error. To correct this, you need to log into your student email on your browser. Even if you have done this before, your browser may have logged you out due to a period of inactivity.

How do I pay my tuition?

Tuition must be paid, in full, by the start date of the course. Click here to learn how to make a full or partial payment toward your tuition. 


How do I access my transcripts?

You can access both official and unofficial transcripts for your courses here at AOEU. Click on the option you want to know more about!

When I click "My Courses" nothing happens.

This is often due to a pop-up blocker enabled on your device. Check here for steps on how to adjust your settings to access your course. If this does not resolve your access, email us at help@theartofeducation.edu.


When will I receive my final grade?

Grades are processed 10 days after the course end date. At that time, students who completed courses through The Art of Education University can view their unofficial transcript and request an official transcript. Students who took their course through Morningside University must request an official transcript from Morningside. Please allow a maximum of 10 additional days for grade processing.
