Most courses are eight weeks long, and you can expect an estimated time commitment of 45 total hours of independent study and course engagement per semester credit. Learning is asynchronous, which means increased flexibility — there are no required login times. There are weekly due dates, so you can work whenever it works best with your schedule.
The courses at AOEU are designed to be both rigorous and relevant. While some graduate-level writing is required, you'll spend more time working on things you can take back to your art room: engaging lesson plans, instructional tools, and useful assessments.
