# Registering, dropping, or replacing a course
## Students may complete registrations/drops up until the 15th of the month. Contact your advisor or student coach for assistance in registration. They are happy to do this for you!
### **Registering for a course**

Please follow the steps below to register for a course:
1. Select **Register for Courses** from the Student Portal home screen.
2. **Choose the term**, and hit **Submit**.
1. ***Note:*** *The semester code includes the month, year, and number of credits (for example, “November 2024-3” shows all 3-credit courses available during November 2024).*
3. Click Enrollment Search, type part of the title, and press Enter or click **Search**.
1. Select the section with available seats and click on the blue plus sign ➕
2. Confirm the enrollment
3. To register the same student for a course in a different term, select the term from the top right

### DROPPING A COURSE
1. **Drop:** Go to *Register for Courses*, choose the term, and hit **Submit**.
2. Scroll to the bottom and click on **My Schedule**
3. Click on the red X to drop the course
### REPLACING A COURSE (SAME TERM)
1. **Replace a course in the same term:** Go to *Register for Classes*, choose the term, and hit **Submit**.
2. Click Enrollment Search, type part of the title, and press Enter or click **Search**.
3. Select the section needed and click on the green arrows to the right of the ➕
4. Confirm the replacement
