# Proactive Ways to Layer FLEX and PRO - Studio Practices
Studio practices in the art room include not only developing media and technical skills but also practicing critical thinking skills, designing innovative ideas, and celebrating diverse outcomes. Students benefit from both structured confidence-building opportunities as well as self-directed exploration of a variety of art media and techniques through self-expression. Together, FLEX and PRO are a comprehensive curriculum solution that can elevate every aspect of teaching and learning. This asynchronous training session will demonstrate how to utilize these powerful tools to discover accessible ways to bring Studio Practices to the forefront, building on what they are already doing.
