How to Withdraw From a Course

Refer to the Add/Drop, Withdrawal, and Tuition Reimbursement Policy.

Students who wish to change a course registration after the start of a term may do so within the first seven days of the course by requesting a course add/drop through their online account. Dropped courses will not be displayed on the student’s transcript.

After day seven, students may withdraw from the course resulting in a W on their official transcript. Withdrawals may be requested until 11 pm CST on the withdrawal deadline.

Refer to the Add/Drop, Withdrawal, and Tuition Reimbursement policy for drop and withdrawal windows and information about reimbursement.

Students who drop a course before midnight Central time (UTC-5) on the seventh day of the course are eligible for 100% tuition reimbursement. To drop or withdraw from a course:

  1. Log in to your AOEU account.
  2. Click Records
  3. Click Current Schedule and select your course.
  4. Click the small gray arrow on the right-hand side of your course record.
  5. Select the appropriate action. All requests are processed by the registrar’s office.
    1. Cancel a term registration before the start date.
    2. Add/Drop within the first seven days of the course.  Drop the current registration and add another course during the same term (subject to course availability).
    3. Withdrawal from a course after the 7-day drop window and before the withdrawal deadline.

Students are eligible for a refund for any future course term or any current courses until midnight Central time (UTC-5) on the withdrawal deadline. Reimbursement is determined according to the schedule in the Tuition Reimbursement policy. Additional program fees will not be refunded. Refunds will be processed for the original transaction amount. Discount codes cannot be reused.
